It's actually amazing how truly outdated some parts of the game are - the levels are a classic example, also the masteries.

I don't know if improve is the word I'd use, they blow through levels like it was nothing and miss out on so much skill and roster building wise

Yes, but I think they get much better matchmaking in BG because they fly under the whale radar until Plat 1. Hopefully the seeding will help even out this flaw.

They can get lower Matches in Bronze to Gold, but unless they have the skill and Roster depth, it won't matter. The real issue is content-rushing. People are not developing over time enough to fully round their Accounts.
