What is the deal with Daily Class Mastery Cores?

When I first started (3 1/2 months ago) daily class Mastery cores were "seen" on a daily basis.

I would average between 4 - 6 per week.

The 1st time I got 2 in one day... I was shocked... and then I learned there are supposed to be 3 available per day!!!

And then once in the middle of a medium Quest, a Mastery Core "appeared" where there wasn't one before (it was a potion when I started)... shocked and thrilled at the same time

But ultimately confused!

Now I get maybe 3 total in a week... I haven't seen a Cosmic core in a month!!!

And, yes, I know they can be purchased!!! Valor / Loyalty too!!!

Specifically I am asking about the Daily Class Quests!!! I check each level Quest before entering at least a half dozen times a day and the success rate has dropped from 15% to 5%!

I realize it's likely based on an RNG (random number generator) but what the Hell!!

Please... any wisdom you can provide is greatly appreciated!!! (Sarcasm... not at all!)

It's random, just like most things with the game. Sometimes I see them in bunches, and sometimes I go days or weeks without seeing one.

Never assume that a hot streak is normal. I pulled like 6 4* from PHC over the course of 2 or 3 days. Then I didn't see another one for months. No complaints, it's all part of the ebb and flow.

Further question:

Do Mastery Cores "appear " in the middle of Quests for anyone else?

It should not once entering the quest. There isn't any way I read which can 'force' it to appear. Anyway, the only useful one is Mystic.

Correct. When you first enter the quest, scan both paths for a class core, and if it's there, take that path because it will almost certainly be gone on you next pass through.

That's the weird part... at least 3 or 4 times, a core will appear after a fight half way through!!

I have usually scanned for cores prior to starting and proceeded because I need to eventually.

Then after the second battle it goes back to the map and what WAS iso-8 is NOW a Mastery Core!

NOT complaining... but wanted to know if this was common!

Second battle means second champ on the same path or second path to complete 100%?

It's there when you open the Quest. TBH, it is RNG. Funny you mentioned it. I found one the other day. First one I've seen in a long time.

Regardless of whether the other path is done, 2nd battle means the 2nd on a single path...

No rhyme or reason... I'll be frustrated that there was no core... continue anyways and then... poof ... there it is!!

I thought I had the pattern figured out... always
open the medium challenge first!!! And for maybe 5 days in a row... there it was!!! But then that "pattern" did NOT work!!!

I investigated on here (forum) and discovered that there are 3 Cores available every day!!! And I was aghast and moderately pi$$ed off.

I also found out that Cores are on an R.N.G. and stopped expecting them quite so much... But then I looked at my inventory and realized that I hadn't found a Cosmic Core in a month!!!

Thus my original post.
