If not, that doesn't make sense.

Losing on purpose is not allowed. So the existence of this button is an error.
Thats not what they meant. People will stay in Plat by winning 2-3 rounds until they're one win away from ranking up, then they'll lose 2-3 rounds on purpose. That's what they mean. Forfeiting once in awhile won't be a problem.

Forfeiting a match does not equal intentionally tanking. The error is in you believing they are the same thing

The whole idea of forfeiting is to set yourself back. I have a feeling many players will get banned in diamond-platinum due to having to forfeit squash matches and winning matches, and kabams new fancy system that gives them another excuse to ban people for playing the game.

Lol yeah im gonna “deliberately” press a button that has the sole purpose to “deliberately” exit the match. You see the issue is kabam trying to exploit the players and their time rather than the players exploiting the game.

The very definition of the word forfeit is a counter to this statement. You either forfeit because you have done wrong and are disqualified or because you are aware you are no match for the opponent and concede like in chess when you knock over your king. If you're spamming forfeit it's obvious what you're doing. But if you're actually playing the mode and occasionally forfeiting matches (which Kabam can see the data for) you should be fine

Its too objective is my point. This system is based off kabams opinion which is the deciding factor of whether someone should get banned or not, which seems inconsistent off rip. Someone with a bigger roster may just forfeit to smaller rosters due to lesser skill level, and theres a chance they have to do it multiple times, which could be seen as by kabam deliberate. This system is more bound to take down legit players from what im seeing, which over the years has been quite common.

In order to prevent kabam from seeing that I am giving up on purpose, do I have to act like I am not giving up on purpose?

Precisely, they are trying to prevent something that is impossible to prevent. There are many ways to lose a match intentionally that they can’t just monitor. So they should remove the negative aspect of losing to counter the benefits of losing if thats what they are going for, otherwise they are simply wasting time.
