Battlerealm brawl match grid is confusing

Shoutout to Fin with well-deserved win. But after quick check I found smth interesting. For some reason matches were mixed. In the semifinal Fin should have met Trappy and Pepe vs Nagase. I know that Fin is a great player, I’m not trying to say opposite but we could see another final. Can smb from Kabam explain that adjustment?

Yeah. If Kabam managed to do a drawing to select the matches, ok.

But, why those brackets before?
