How does BG matches decide who picks defender?

So i have a question, cuz i think its weird.. so i have played like over 100 matches now in this season and like 95% of the matches i am the one who picks defender first.. its kinda annoying. so kabam how does it pick who picks defenders first cuz it def aint random or then im just the unluckiest player
