Extremely goofy glitch/interaction

I'm doing act 8.2.3, fighting Rinthra with Morbius. I push him red and use a striker, but he's up against the wall so he goes unstoppable and sp3's. I skip the animation expecting to die, but I take no damage and this happens. I lost the fight.
