Champions locked out of AW

I tried joining AW attack with Infamous Iron Man, who isn’t one of my defenders. When I try and select him, it tells me that he is already in an AW. It seems that old defenders are being locked out of attack. Below are screenshots of my current defenders and of Iron Man’s availability. Any work around for this?

    Check all three defender maps that you can place on and make sure he isn’t still listed

    Thanks, that was it. He was being “placed” in the lower difficulty map.
