Dark Catacombs entry item not refunding on backing out

Hi there,
I just got in the Dark Catacombs side quest and totally forgot to change a champion which I intended to use for a certain fight so I backed out.
A message popped up saying my exploration would be reset but entry items would be refunded, but it seems they're not getting refunded.
To test this again, I did the same thing and lost the entry spelunking rope again because they were getting used up.
Is anyone else facing this? Can someone have a look into this?
