Quick question about wiccan

Im planning to do necropolis path 2, and the have to deal with a wiccan. The problem is i cant afford despair. So, could rank 5
Scorpion technically work?

The line im worried about is this It says here that he recovers health from energy damage, but im not sure about bursts. Its a bit oddly worded here, so i dont know if he will recover health form the sting burst off the sp2 if i use poison (which deals physical damage)

I just need someone to clarify this, as i dont wanna be halfway through necropolis abd be roadblocked

Wiccan is designed as a hard counter to the likes of Terrax; who does crazy Energy DoT. And I've used him for Terrax and can confirm the Regeneration is insane.

Any Energy Burst damage from Shock debuffs/debuff bursts will definitely be regenerated.

Poison deals poison damage, so won't get involved with this ability, at all. In the average Wiccan fight, you're actually best off with Rupture debuffs; since Wiccan has negative Physical Resistance. But in the Necropolis I suspect the primary issue is his Regen, so stick to Poison.

If you're running Despair 3/3, you should be able to cut his regeneration close to zero, with Poison debuffs.

If you're running Despair 3/3 and rotate SP2s, you should be able to reverse his healing; unless there's a node preventing that. And that should net you some decent health, aiming that your Scorpion is Awakened.

did him with kate, pushing him to sp2. almost solo, missed last sp2 dex, its a 5 mins fight

This, I used Aegon, has him spam sp1 for the first 10-20% but after that his regen is insane so pushed him to sp2s

If you place Scorps Petrify the regen won’t even make a difference

He only has 5M health, no need to bring a counter. Just push him to SP2.

I solo'd with Shuri r2. Just pushed him to sp2 everytime, and took most of it in my block and built up her charges. After a few sp2 blocks, you can start dexing a few of the beams.
