Who do I concentrate on? And awaken?

From here which 5 would you focus on? And I have ONE awakening gem. Who would you suggest.

I'm a returning veteran, haven't played in years since most these characters are new to me. Personal I'm enjoying playing with Dr. doom, infamous Ironman and Scorpion the most. But that doesn't mean they are a good choice? I know not much.

    My first choice is Doom without a doubt. Zemo, Nimrod, Scorpion, NF, Spot, and Kitty are all great options. I haven't played with IIM, so not shure how good he is but if you enjoy him just take him to R5. As per the awakening gem I would use it on NF.
