While I know OP has an inaccurate take, nearly a decade playing this game does make you feel like most outlier results you get tend to fall on the disadvantageous tail of the curve.
If my calculations are correct, the 40 Paragons I recently opened together would have had a less than 3% chance of yielding only one 6*/7*…and yet a single 6* is all I got. Getting a single 7* from them would have been around a 1/3 chance—definitely not a given.
Neither outcome is statistically impossible or even improbable. But the tendency to weight the negative over the one-in-a-million positive is a predictable human reaction.
I mean, it is what it is, RNG, anyway, I would like some tweaks on the game like other gamble games have like "If you open at least X amount of crystals and you didnt get Y reward, we will give it to you".
Some games have things like this were if you have Idk, 1% on 7* rarity as an example, and you open 100 crystals, which should ensure at least 1 7*, if you didnt get it, the game would make sure that the crystal 101 will have a 7*.
I dont think this is harmful at all since you would have to still spend like 20k Units to make sure you get a 7*, in case you did get none from the 100 you already opened.
This is kinda for drastic circunstances but I've seen people open tons of crystals without getting a single highest rarity champ, mostly on Cavs back then, where you had like 1% to get a 6* and after 100 crystals you would have none.
