Mastery and Character’s stats

Hi, I’ve just invested in some mastery core to unlock the precision mastery and realised that the stat boost to critical rating that it promised did not show up on my champion’s state page. May I know if this is normal or if I should’ve seen my critical rating in all my champion’s increase after acquiring the mastery. I’m currently low on units so I have not tried recovering and unlocking the mastery again, yet.
