Special Attack not launching in War

My special attack button was completely unresponsive during my fight in war. I gained sp2 and pushed it and nothing happened. Managed to survive and pushed it again and again without if launching. A few seconds later I got sp3, went far away from the defender and kept on pushing the sp attack button, but it was as if I am pushing a blank area. Nothing happened. I got killed.
To test my controls, I immediately went and did a path in Catacombs. Everything worked fine.
Revived in war and pushed fight again. Same exact thing happened. Built up Hulkling to Sp2, got my charges ready, hit into block and became unblockable and pushed sp2. NOTHING HAPPENED!!!!
