How many of you are waiting for your Aegon to try necropolis?

DarknessFallsDarknessFalls Member Posts: 163 ★★
I would say I am not very skilled, have gone though most of progression with brute force using revives and units, always avoid Everest content.

I really wanna try necro, but seems without the noteworthy champs its not possible.

Still waiting for Aegon on my account, no Kate or shuri as well.

Even though the content is open for me to try, seems too rng dependent to get the champs to try it. Hoping I get Aegon soon, so I can attempt it.

I have Kate Shuri Chavez but no Aegon/Wong. I was going to try exploring before Xmas to get Valiant for the Xmas gift, but I wasn’t able to pull Aegon. I opened an abyss nexus and maybe like 500k worth of shards. I’ve only been opening dual crystals since Necro launched, but I just cant pull him

I personally just did 2x paths with Kate and Shuri fairly easy (13x and 7x, plus 3x team revives for GM total). Aegon would cost you more overall

I have Kate/Chavez but no Aegon or shuri. I’ve been practicing with Kate and gotten her playstyle down but am still hoping for Aegon just because he’s less stressful to play. I only really want to do one path so worst case scenario I use Kate for the Titania path.

Honestly Kate isn’t too bad to learn once you get down the perfect release. I managed to get the solo on Titania with my r3 but it took a lot of attempts. I know I could do it with Kate, but mindlessly smashing with Aegon just seems so much easier. And yeah I don’t care about exploration atm, but completion rewards are too good to pass up.

Kate is easy duh but one slip up and boom, do the whole set-up again.
    Not fun.

Nothing special. Just retaliate after specials to pause them, and parry+heavy to refresh them right away

For Titania specifically it’s trickier than most fights because of her haymaker + bad ai. In any other fight I try to use sp1s, but the sp2 can be useful to push her back further into the corner and get a guaranteed refresh if she comes too far off the wall.

Against Titania you’ll get your refreshes through 3 ways: 1, through your Riposte, 2, off of the relic, 3, your sp2 stun. I avoid trying to use my risposte through regular parries as if she doesn’t go for it she usually dashes back, then forward, and triggers haymaker.

One thing I would say is try to get into a good rythym of using your different methods of refreshing. For example, if you are about to reach your sp2 and your relic is at 80%, get to the sp2 and use it to refresh knowing that you’ll have the relic afterwards as a safety net for your next refresh.

Most fights are not as complicated as Titania, usually you can easily heavy counter their sp1 or sp2 and get a refresh that way. Remember you can also block specials to get closer spacing to heavy counter if need be. Practice that Titania fight because if you get the hang of that one, the simpler fights will be a breeze.

Edit: I meant to tag this to @captain_rogers but forgot lol.

I have a r3 kate, how much health should I ideally take for titania before I can r5 her and ascend for necro?
Also should I awaken her is it mandatory? And is sig100 enough for we need max sig?
How to manage against tranquilize? Should I completely rely on ripostle parry in tranquilize path?
Also who accompanies kate the best? Which fights she can take in titania/guardian path? Should I take doom for gm and cosmics?

Pls enlighten me, I'm typing this the second time since my first comment slipped into approval hell.

With an r3, if you can take out 30-40% of her health in one try, that’s a great run. Remember that with an r5 fully boosted ascended Kate, she’ll be doing around 3x the damage of your r3, so theoretically, if you can get off 33% with an r3, you can solo her with an ascended r5.

Her awakening is not mandatory, but definitely very helpful. Sig 100 would be fine, if you can get her to 200 I would do that, but no worries if you can’t.

For the tranquilize, you can use your riposte to successfully parry without getting one on you, but don’t do parries without it, once you get her into the corner and get your rythym going, you can get openings through baiting specials, using the relic, etc.

Chavez is by far her best synergy, and definitely worth bringing. If you have a 7* Chavez or a high ranked 6* Chavez, she can take the place of doom for the cosmic fights, but if you have an empty team spot you can bring doom.

On the Titania path, some fights are fairly easy with Kate, and some are doable but difficult and unideal. The fights you want to use Kate for are: Titania, Omega Sentinel, Air walker (while he has one charge), Wiccan (must have despair 3/3 for this fight), Red guardian, Cap Sam, and cap IW. The unideal fights imo are captain Britain, psycho man, and valk. The rest of the path fights you ideallly want a counter for.

Doom works well for all 3 of the cosmic fights so that should work. As far as the gm, doom should be a good option, also shuri does well since she’s very tanky and if awakened can block unblockable specials. I wouldn’t bring kp just for the grandmaster, if you have an extra spot I’d rather you bring 4* Chavez for the Kate synergy since it basically increases her damage by 50%.

Just here to throw in a friendly reminder for 7* Odin owners…the old man put in some WORK for my run. Omega sentinel, Cap Britain, PsychoMan, Guardian, Sam Wilson, CapIW.

Chavez took Vision Aarkus, part of Air Walker, Nova

Kate took Titania, part of Air Walker, Wiccan, Valk, Red Guardian, Dragon Man.

Everyone for GM with Wiccan for last phase.

Glad to hear, I had heard shuri was really the only good option for him but I guess that’s wrong, glad Kate can do it tho.

    My Necro completion guide

    Team used was
    R5 Sig 200 Ascended AEgon
    R5 Sig 20 Shuri
R2 7-star Wiccan (for the final 1% of the GM fight as I hate reverse controls)
    Heimdall (he’s a revive saver)
White Mags (for his extra attack and pre-fight passive stun - he made the Attuma fight with Shuri very easy)

    103 revives all up
