7.2.4 Man-Thing Boss is a pain!

I recently got thronebreaker and I'm currently finishing up 7.2.4. I'm stuck at the man-thing boss as the nodes are insane. Unfortunately, he has 99% energy resistance which makes me wonder how am I gonna defeat him. I lack a lot of champs that can do physical damage and stay alive because the flare node has degen.

I don't have she-hulk, immortal hulk or red hulk. I do have an ibom and a scorpion. Would they work?

Shang chi dies too quickly. Hit monkey worked for the first time from full health and I could've soloed him but messed up while intercepting.

What are some of the good options for the current meta since the an older post regarding the same didn't have some of the newer/buffed characters? I have a kingpin if anyone might have tried.

iBom and Scorpion will work. Hit Monkey is a bad idea cause Man Thing prevents bonus damage from crits.

Okay, I tried a run with scorpion, and the thing is that scorpion applies shock debuffs on manthing, and he gains sp3 like instantly due to the high energy diet node. Any damaging debuff and he gets a power gain gaining 100% power in 10 seconds. I haven't tried ibom yet but I will now. Thanks!

Interesting, let me try that out. I have retried this quest at least 10-12 times with different combinations and something somewhere gets messup up 😂🥲

Gyat Dayum, I one shot him using scorpion with rupture ability. This is crazy! Scorpion is amazing for this node! I loved him and feel so stupid lol for using the shock ability!

Is that you Vishnu? Yes, I one-shot him using scorpion's rupture ability. Great character utility.

Poison is not physical, poison and bleed deal direct damage, ignoring armor and resistances (only bleed and poison resistance affect them, like sauron and hercules)

bro use ibom. I had killed him with my 5*R5 ibom. If you have unlocked will power then you will not die from degen also because of class disadvantage you take less degen damge. But just don't get hit. Ibom can easily do this figth.
