Galan Cosmic Seed and VtD synergy broken in AQ only

Title says it all. This week in AQ, Galan's Cosmic Seed ability and synergy with VtD now do not trigger. Using a 6-star version of both. And I've been leveraging that capability and synergy in AQ for more than a year now, so something definitely was changed by Kabam -- with unintended consequences.
I tested it in EQ with 5-star versions of Galan and VtD, and cosmic seed ability and synergy both work there.
Have a video from AQ if needed but would like to hear from #Kabam on this.
