Ghost in Battlegrounds

Can anyone explain how Ghost’s mechanics allow her to do any damage over time effects?

Placed Iceman on defence, opponent brought in Ghost, and unless I’m missing something, Ghost has no way of gaining any power on this node.

If anyone can explain this, I’d be grateful.
