Special attacks not connecting after combos android oreo

So i recently got a new google pixel 2 with android oreo 8.0.0
generally speaking i am very happy as the game runs very smooth no lags fast loading and everything. However i noticed that in since i switched my specials are blocked frequently after 5 hit combos (or combos in general) which is not the case on my old phone.
It is most pronounced in act 5.2 were i was fighting antman in act 5.2.4 using blade. On the pixel 2 almost all my specials were blocked after the combos. When i tested the same antman on my old phone i could connect specials perfectly fine.
Any chance you can look into this?
