Is bishop broken?

Maybe I’m late to the party as I only just got my first bishop, a 7*, so I don’t have a ton of experience playing him. That being said, my understanding is that when you ko an opponent with a special, he doesn’t use the power until after, so you end the fight with the same amount of power as you had when you used the sp. this would mean you would start the next fight with that power and the persistent charges that add to his kit right? It works for sp1 and sp2… is there something I’m missing that prevents it working for sp3? Every time I ko with sp3 it counts it as the energy was used, and next fight 0 bars to start.

Only his sp1 and sp2 don't consume power. SP3 consumes power otherwise it would be too OP as a defender.
