How do you get free crystals

I need to evolve my characters to keep playing but I don't have any 4 or 5 stars, how do I get one?

You earn them through duping your 3 stars and earning shards from more difficult content. And for the love of god, this ain't pokemon! Champs don't evolve.

Full crystals and crystal shards can be won in different parts of the game: arenas, quests, etc...
The more difficult the content, the better. (You will not find 5* shards in easy quest, but if you go for master level, you will)

I don't get any 4 or 5 star..what's going on.? I play meny times but i can't..i think i should uninstall this game.
