Summoner super lunge?

according to Kabam Miike:
" ... The animation on any attack (heavy or special) will scale depending on where the target is. Ever Champion has this, and it doesn't matter if it's AI or not.

You can do it to. The animation distance scales because if it didn't, it would look weird. ..."

I have been trying every weird way to reproduce a summoner "super lunge" on a heavy or special. The "easy" AI just stands there all the time but the distance of my heavy doesn't scale the way it seems to for the AI. Has anyone ever seen it happen? no video required. I'm just curious if anyone has had it happen.

@Lurker, I would like to try it myself too (probably on the dummy daily T4b quest). Just curious, as what you have tried, do I dash back to pull distance from the AI, and while hoping the AI standing there and not following me, then while there's a long distance btw 2 of us, I then do a HEAVY or SPECIAL and expect to see my champ "super lunge" and hit the AI?

I recalled for some champ who's SP and Heavy are short-distant, if the separation is too far, my SP or heavy will miss and go wasted, has this changed? Interesting, I must re-try.

yeah, it's not super easy to setup the exact right situation but I have the been trying to swipe back while the "easy" AI is just standing there and immediately doing a heavy with SL(since the thread I was reading specifically mentioned him). I have successfully executed what I believe to be the same situation but most times, the AI runs forward instead of standing there or blocking but it's the "miss and go wasted" that I believe our champs do, but in the same situation, the "hard" AI super lunges.

if our champs can do it too, then great, but I wasn't convinced we could so was testing it.

You’ll want to swipe back when AI is blocking or they will auto run to you when you move back.

ok. So, i'm glad you mention this. Take Hyperions Heavy attack for example, you start from a distance and then flies in at half the screen to connect hits 2-5.

Yes, I've been able to use a heavy attack with other champions at a distance.

The only movement that I cannot mimic, is the "run down". the opponent dashes into you while you're blocking, you dash back on the first or second hit, and the opponent then dashes into you to complete the combo. This is not possible as far as I can tell.

I’ve done it with SL. I was starting to charge a heavy, and the AI backed up and the next thing I knew, I was hitting him both times

Ive done to before too. Its a bit harder to pull off. I think the issue is there is a sweet spot that the ranging heavy attack just looks weird.
IIRC, the easiest way to pull this example off is with CAWWII. Back the opponent into a corner and Pull off a heavy. CAWWII lands back far enough where is doesn’t look like another heavy would connect from that range, but it does
