Rewards missing in I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN...

I have defeated Absorving Man twice in level 1, and got no rewards for it. I got the rewards for defeating Howard The Duck in level 1. Is there a specific way to get the rewards? Any champion can be used to defeat Absorving Man?
I am holding going to level 2, can anyone help?
