The bgs store hasn't updated for you but do not worry this isn't as big of a deal as you think. Here is what you should do as a low spender or F2P:
1) 8.4 is coming soon, hopefully within the next couple of months, and exploring that will likely be quick and easy based on the current trend with story content. This will give you 1 R3 champion and you will be half-way to valiant! So make sure you have the rest of act 8 all explored before then.
2) In this coming month, start prepping for a necro run. Get revives from the apothecary each day, as well as the solo events and maybe do a bit of arena if possible to get some units. This will be even more incentivised next month with the bonus SAGA event. If you're paragon and have completed a necro run then you're sitting in a good position already. If, however, you are feeling apprehensive about your first necropolis run then don't panic, I promise you it's actually pretty enjoyable and not as expensive as some people think it is.

There is a guide if you are using aegon (e.g titania path) and one if you are using a more diverse team like shuri/zemo/abs man/doom (mr fantastic path). Also bring a wiccan/juggs etc for the final reversed controls phase of the Grandmaster. It also gives some tips on the more problematic fights. I would also encourage people to look on youtube if they want more detailed guides on specific necropolis options like Kate or Wong. Then pick the easiest path for you (feel free to ask for planning help on the forums, or ask your alliance teammates) and go for it, you'll be okay
3) Start saving your battlegrounds tokens. Simply do not spend them in the next 2 months (I doubt most ppl will hit the cap) and save them all until you become Valiant. Only buy perhaps a tiny bit of T6B or T3A or t6cc if you want to go in with a maxed out champ, otherwise R4 ascended is mostly good enough for a completion run (You can get t2 dust from the side events).
Good luck guys, use this as the reason to push to Valiant, it's worth it! Not only for the updated bgs store, but also the upgraded crystals, calendars etc.
