Kate vs WoW Dani

I was testing out Kate vs dani for the gauntlet in a couple weeks, and I’m taking damage from what I’m guessing is the just desserts node. As far as I could tell, Kate doesn’t have anything that prevents Dani’s prowesses from applying. What am I missing here? Thanks!

    It's probably because when you remove and then reapply her tricks with heavy in a corner that it is triggering it, I think Strife had a similar issue

    I’m taking damage even without having any trick arrow effects up. Could it be the riposte stun being removed after two attacks that’s causing this?

    I’m curious as to why this happens. Is it because the game treats all passives as just passives, with no distinction between buff passives and debuff passives? Because I’m guessing the intention of the node is to prevent Dani’s prowess buffs and passives from being affected in any way, and these interactions are just an unfortunate knock on effect due to the way the game handles passive effects.
