Why doesn't Absorbing Man's regen give Charges in EQ?

I'm having a hard time effectively using Absorbing Man as an Attacker for this EQ and I don't understand *why* he doesn't work. I have him 6* R4 Ascended, Sig level 140...

I've been trying to use him on this month's EQ 2.1 Mystic Path where you get a Fury charge every time you regen/power drain the opponent.

So once I have enough charges and I "consume" them or activate a Special at 600 charges, he gains his Regen Passive - only, I don't gain any Fury charges from it.

I've tried playing him in like 8 different matches and only on *two* random occasions, did his Regen/power drain activate a Fury charge. Am I doing something wrong? On paper it sounds like he would work for these nodes - not nearly as well as someone like Doom who has incredible ease of control for power drain, but I don't have many other good Mystics that fit the needs of these nodes.

From what I can tell, AbsMan's regen seems in function no different from Mojo's - who does work and gains a Fury charge when the regen activates. I'm so confused and I'm probably just missing something crucial.

Do you have video evidence? I tried him this month and he works perfectly fine. Are you playing Cav or TB EQ? Cav only has a general node boosting mystic attackers.

I always got furies with abs man in this side quests. Must be pacify, you might refined your form while opponent is stunned, and furies failed to aar

Diablo and Mojo both have regen passives and they work

Have 100% the TB EQ/Gauntlet now, but I'll try a couple fights and see.
