Explanation?

Just got to GC, obviously not familiar with the nodes and interactions. Can someone explain why Korg got the buffs despite the passive neutralize being active? My only theory is the way the nodes are coded the buffs trigger (lowering AA from the node) and are therefore negating the reduced AA from the neutralize?

Any help is appreciated

it's a 30% neutralize, still 70% chance to trigger. Different from tigra (100%), wiccan (100%) and rintrah (100/200%)
