Randomized buffs still active

Fighting a Cyclops with masochism and 1% Regen on expert, obviously couldn't get any damage done, so I backed out and randomized the buffs. Was happy with the buffs so went back in and he was still regenerating. As if both buffs were still active. Has anyone else experienced this?
