First off, I actually enjoyed this incursions better than normal, and incursions is my favorite game mode. Whether the changes were intentional for this or not, and are permanent or not, who knows.
After reading about the changes to the hacks where now they include debuffs and passives for the common hacks, I thought Mojo would be great [r5 ascended] with 5/5 MD. Without much planning, I got to room 15 on my first try. Then I saw a video on Corvus so I thought I would r5 and ascend mine and give it a go with suicides. I had been saving catalysts for this event in case a needed a champion. I got to room 13 without much planning nor studying nodes.
On my third try, I decided to go for it.
Main Team: r5 ascended Mojo [Odin prefights], Nick Fury [Odin Prefights] and Kingpin with minor swapping throughout [stayed the same until zone 20], all with 5/6* relics
Boosts were used starting at zone 18, then every boost was applied
Super Hacks: The new defense Hack I picked up was Regenerative Assimilation. This hack was great for Mojo because it helped with his lower block proficiency and physical resistance, and since he gains power so frequently with MD, it’s almost always on.
Keep it Going: Hack I selected at the beginning to keep damage up
Perpetual Offense: Extra damage when firing off specials, which Mojo does frequently
Compounding Harm: I didn’t want this one, but it was the best in my group of choices. I figured Fury could benefit
At the Ready: I now may pick this hack up first. Having a 6* relic plus going unblockable was a huge help [see notes below]
Common Hacks: Effect upgrade: Stun – selected for Kingpin for sp3. Actually wasn’t needed/don’t even know if I used it [see notes below]
Basic Attack enhancement
Fury Buff: for Mojo
Prowess buff: paired with super hack perpetual offense
Ability Power Rate +15% [would have loved the super hack that fills spirit gauge and gives +300% attribute boost as Kingpin for infinitely stun I’m sure, But I never even stunned with Kingpin so not needed]
Special refund: fire special more often
Both degen hacks
Armor Break potency increase
I used Mojo mostly up until zone 17. My hacks just gelled together, and while I did get some annoying nodes, it was nothing that couldn’t be planned around Mojo was doing massive damage so he could end most fights before they became a problem. At the ready and my relic allowed me to do some prompts if the enemy wasn’t always cooperating, or at the very least change it with a heavy. He was even able to tackle some biohazard nodes [why he did is explained later]
My first death that worried me was Zone 17 [I think]. I didn’t plan/read the nodes correctly. It was Stealth Spiderman. He started unblockable, and every 6 second a received a falter with the timer reset every hit, with some other nodes that I can’t remember . Doesn’t sound to hard, but with spider starting unblockable and having his random evade, I would often get smacked. Also, I couldn’t reliable stun him for Mojo’s prompt which kept coming up. And I didn’t want him to throw his sp2 because I can’t dex it well. But his ps1 would give him an evade charge. So Mojo died, Kingpin was at like 16% health, so I threw in Fury. I always bring him or sub him in for the difficult fight where I need a nuke and will probably die - but not really die due to LMD. He was able to get him down, but with like 2% health remaining on his second life.
This is where it became good. There was no revive on the next room, so I subbed out Fury for a 2* Odin to give prefights to Kingpin, healed Odin up so the next room would give me a cheap full 6/7* healed up, and hoped Kingpin could get me to the next room. I threw boosts on, including skill boosts, and went at it. All he needed was a sp2 with the armor break on, and he would zoom up to a sp3 [or almost sp3] . It dealt massive damage. I don’t think anyone survived a sp2sp3 except Yellowjacket, who got two sp2 in the face and then mlllm punched [I’m assuming it’s because Kingpin’s sp2 beam is energy and Yellowjacket has massive energy resistance]. It’s also nice because the At the Ready makes you unblockable, and Kingpin also can go unblockable on his specials as well. This was him against zone 24 Boss
I had to read the nodes carefully, but nothing that couldn’t stop Kingpin, and Mojo, when he was healed. I spent about 5-10 minutes each room reading the nodes to see if/who I needed to sub out for my third person, but only two fights gave me problems.
Zone 23 Boss Mordo: I just hate fighting him. He didn’t even have any annoying nodes besides fisticuffs and that node where you lose 50% of your health to start. What was interesting is that it seems with the new update to suicides/willpower/boosts, it affects this node as well. It didn’t seem that I lost anywhere near 50%, but rather much less. I didn’t pay that much attention, so maybe someone else can verify. Died twice and had to revive [and man, do those costs a pretty penny].
Zone 25 Kraven: Shouldn’t have been a hard fight, but I didn’t follow my own advice and strategy. Nodes are here.
The mini bosses were easy with their nodes, and Kraven seemed easy too. Biohazard – no problem. I have Kingpin, and I’ll sub in Dust.
Safeguard – no problem. I have Kingpin, and his sp1 ability accuracy should help reduce that. Dust can also just keep firing off specials
Any since I didn’t read my nodes better, I sunk 2,200 units trying to figure out the fight once I got there. Dust was no good since she placed debuffs, and I didn’t take into consideration masochism. So whenever I placed a sand, he would regen. So Dust was out. Should have taken someone else, or maybe learned to play her better. Maybe there was a way.
Kingpin was not very good. I restarted maybe 50 times with him. Some runs were good, where I would just hope rng was on my side with the biohazard bleed, but that damage was massive. A fully boosted Kingpin was still taken from full health to 12%. So if RNG wasn’t on my side, then I would exit out and restart. The sp1 degen didn’t work either because of masochism, but more importantly, because of clean slate turning it off on every of Kraven’s specials. So I couldn’t even rely on that. Should have brought Hood instead of Dust to deal with that pesky biohazard.
Mojo was actually my first champion I used against Kraven, and you can see how good he did after the first fight.
[Kingpin was already dead]. So then we come back to Mojo. The plan was to complete prompts to gain power, and gain power through MD, and fire off sp2 and get the degen. The degen bypassed safeguard. The only problem was that after each loss, Mojo loses subscribers so it takes longer to get to that massive fury. But Mojo did accomplish it. I wish that I had revived him instead of Kingpin countless times. However, it did take massive restarts to get the biohazard, AI, prompts, Mojo not shotting to a sp3 and myself all coordinated. This fight took more than 2 hours. But it’s now done. Also, the only thing I have left is the StarLord carina’s challenge, and I don’t care about July 4th/Black Friday, just getting content done. So units well spent.
Notes/Tips
-I really liked these hacks and how ended up flowing together. With those class boosts, it was just game over with Kingpin.
-My future team I’m not sure about, but it would probably be Corvus, Kingpin, and Mojo. I didn’t sub in Corvus because Mojo was just tearing up the rooms at the early level, and by the time I even remembered how much I liked him inn my other run, I was already on room 8 and didn’t think I could get him ramped up without dying.
-Someone did a run with Kingpin and said that they were able to stun chain with sp3. I can totally see that now, especially with class boosts
-To heal up cheaply, swap out champ with a 1 or 2*, heal up and then swap out at the next available opportunity
-If this change is kept, then I have no problem with them continuing sector 7 sagas, even without the potion/revive deals they’ve always have given us. Being able to restart a fight and not lose pre-fights, cross-fights, persistent charges AND health was huge while also not having a cool-down timer to do so. It let me practice the fights, not get stressed, etc. It does require reading the nodes very well, but I would take this any day over revive bundles, even with the limited pool of champs. I know I’m probably the only one who thinks this though.
-How I found out about the thing above was I always check first in lower levels to see if a cross-fight [like Apoc horsemen] works after being exited. It happened to me first on my Mutant Mayhem Abyss run and I was so mad. So now, at the beginning of the update each month, I test it out in incursions [and if there is any other Everest content that month]. And for once, they fixed it. Maybe with an unintended side effect.
-When exiting out, it even worked during sp3 if I got caught. You just have to be careful about taking a combo to face. Kraven got me a few times before I could pause it and exit out, and thus I died.
Overall, I’m probably one of the few people who enjoyed it. And I’m so glad that I was able to do it without Kate. I hate playing her and didn’t want to ascend and r5 her.

Whenever I run mojo, I often get debuffs nodes like biohazard, and caltrops, how to handle that?
Also, congrats on the Mojo, The Valiant.
