Should I use my 6* sig stones on omega red?

I recently duped my 6* omega red from an omega days crystal. I like him and am considering using my 6* sig stones on him (I've got 100 basics and around 40 mutants sig stones). The issue is I'm not sure how useful he'll actually be for endgame content. I have him as a 5* r5 at max sig, and I like him but haven't really used him in act 7. So should I use all of my 6* sig stones on him if the next content I have to do is act 8 and the last 25% of act 7 exploration?
The only other person currently on my roster that I might want to put sig stones in is archangel who's at sig 40.
