The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!

SoS Dropped Heavies

Title says it all…

Come on, game team. This is literally one of the (if not the main) core mechanics for the fight itself. I’ve been dropping inputs (and heavies especially) all morning.

I watch streams from players like Nagase and it’s a smooth experience with one of the most genteel and accommodating AIs I’ve ever seen. Sure, he’s great and all—but then I play on a brand new device and it’s nowhere close to that. Dropped heavies galore.

I'm starting to wonder if we all just suck at the game.. lol

Maybe you gotta know the "sweet spot" on your device as to not drop inputs because I have it happen at times as well, then other times fights go super smooth. 😑

I’d like to think it should stay the same for each device, but I’m not convinced it does. Out of town and using different connection than normal on a top end, brand new device and it’s just chunky.

I will add my opinion: I’m convinced the game servers sometimes simply cannot handle everything all at once. Too many nodes, less time to react, tight windows. Calls to server to check for cheating or whatever. AI reparry issues that were knock on effects from trying to fix the AI (and which, as far as I can tell, haven’t been fixed for coming on a year now).

It’s been a great MCoC run—a decade in fact—and I often truly enjoy the game…but the fissures from spackling code over code just show through sometimes.

I have Heavy and Block not registered (not Parry just even holding block is not registered).

Also fun discovery, the start of Silk 2nd hit on her heavy, is too high for Iron Fist, she kick over ver his head. This normally wouldn't matter because the Def would be stun so the end of that hit would land, but because Iron Fist if Debuff immune, he just smack you as Silk kick go over his head 🤣. Fun fun.

    MrZola,
I'm not getting any dropped inputs.

    I rarely drop inputs.
But when I do I actually can instantly feel it.
What can be done? This is such a vague issue to face.
So I just full restart the phone and not just soft reset. Also slightly wipe the screen.
It helps take out some of the random inputs "for me".

I would like to add that I rarely, more like once a month, face the game crash. But I know it is common and in some of the iphones.

After first run with Wong, I just experienced this. Must be part of their vaunted “physics engine” they talk about.

Put phone down, touched grass (literally), and went to lunch. It’s only a hard fight when the game doesn’t work right.

Yes—15 Pro Max here. Wonderful device that runs everything else flawlessly.

One more to add to the mix…Human Torch landing first hit of heavy, but getting evaded on second hit. And they say things are same as always 😂
