I pulled Future Antman but I’m bad at intercepting. How important is that to his kit?

I have a duped 6* Fantman but haven’t ranked him yet because I don’t know how to use him. I’ve seen that you need to intercept to build him up. I’m not great at intercepting. I’m working on it, but is he still good even if I can’t intercept often? What’s the best way to use him in that situation?

You can bait heavies and ramp him. After that intercepts are a breeze because of his AI aggression. He’s still fantastic without intercepting but I’d practice a little to get comfortable with him. He’s very tanky even if you get clipped

It’s basically just 3 interceptis or punish 6 heavies or anything in between, as Emilia said his ai manipulation makes intercepts very easy anyway.

Intercept is key

Dash back and hold block, enemy will charge at you then you can light or medium for intercept

Well once you get 5 armor ups its just easy to intercept as AI is very very aggressive

You can bait out heavies until he gets Surging Swarm at 6 armors, making them more aggressive

My intercepting skills are sub par. Occasionally try a back draft which works sometimes.

But in any case… he still works just fine for me. Took him to R5 and ascended. Zero regrets.
