Off season wars tier points missing

So as normal we play off season normally to build up war tier to have a higher multiply at the start of the season. After last war we were tier 5 with over 2500 points, and now suddenly we have been dropped down to tier 6. Also it shows we didn't get any points for last 3 wars. @kabam is that how it supposed to be? Was there any announcement about it?

    * At War Tiers 1 to 5 you no longer get points for tier changes in the off season. Been like that for years.
    * It possible you were on the cusp of tier 5/6 and another alliance (or a few) have been promoted above you
