Mystic 7* R3

This is a battlegrounds focused rankup, and I currently have 4 r3s: Shang, Ham, Killmonger, and domino. 2 of them are mainly attackers, and 2 are mainly defenders, so I have a good balance between offense and defense.

I think most people would say Chavez is the better of the 2 champs, and I would agree with that. However I’m unsure if Chavez really needs the extra rank. She seems to already do everything I need her to at rank 2, and I recently pulled a dupe on my 6* iron fist relic which makes her even better while still at r2. To the r3 Chavez owners, what matchups does she now take considerably better at rank 3 compared to rank 2?

Sassy on the other hand gains quite a bit from having the extra health, since it reduces the amount of champs who can take him down at a reasonable speed. He also can do some cool things on attack in a few matchups, but he’s so valuable on defense that I don’t think I’d use him that much offensively.

Either way I love both of these champs and would happily r3 either of them, I’m just not sure who would be more worth it for bgs.

Chavez absolutely does not need the extra rank, I use my r2 for r3 defenders and she works just fine. Sasquatch on the other hand could definitely use that r3 for both attack and defense.
Also a lot of people forget Sasquatch can take defenders like Serpent and Maestro in respectable times too.

That was my thought process, I just wasn’t sure if I was correct or not. Especially now that I got the dupe on my iron fist relic, she’s already hitting so damn hard.

Congrats on that mystic gem. If I were in that position I’d honestly have just pulled the trigger on Chavez but I respect you holding out for that dupe. Appreciate the feedback

Yeah r3 duped Sassy all the way, a r3 Chavez still gets nuked by half the science class and she's quick enough at r2.

A lot of people told me to, but I resisted because i feel like Sassy would stay relevant as a defender longer than she will on attack (and my prediction months ago on CGR becoming more valuable than Galan back when hardly anyone had CGR ranked and everyone had Galan in their decks came true)
Chavez is still good, but i have an r3 Juggs and i feel like unless the meta has buff nodes, id rather use a better suited attacker (she is still great for serpent/maestro/fam etc)

Understandable. I personally think she’ll be a relevant attacker for quite a while, especially while maestro and serpent are still threats. I just feel like I can afford to r3 Chavez later whereas sassy wants it now before we have too many r3s. But it’s also tough to go against a 70-30 vote lmao

This post is like 3 weeks old lmao. I already ranked up sassy. Chavez will be my first r3 after I even out my classes and get at least 1 r3 in each
