Draining Degen-Saga Incursions

As I understand it, knocking the opponent down places a power drain debuff on them. Applying some other form of power drain (e.g., knocking them down again) places a degen on them (two degens if you have a relic equipped).

Any reason for this to stop working? In the past, parry heavy tends to load the degens, but perhaps I’m missing something in the wording for the Saga incursions.

    Following up…

    ...this is the node description:

It isn’t working this way. Even with multiple power drain debuff symbols on the opponent, I’m not getting any degen, let alone the multiple degens I should be getting with a relic equipped. It’s happened with multiple defenders now, none of which had specific nodes or abilities that would counter this.

The effect of the node as it is working is as if there’s a *chance* to inflict degen when you power drain with a power drain debuff active (for example, successive parry+heavy). I’m guessing the coding for the Prowed Degen buff has somehow been applied here.

This is a problem. Incursions don’t allow you to swap hacks when they aren’t working correctly, and they are necessary to complete the content.

Do you have a screenshot? I just used it with two different defenders and it was working for me.

Were you fighting anyone with power drain immunity?

For whatever reason it only applies degens while more power drains are applied while the initial power drain is still active. So if you can heavy spam in the corner you can load lots of degens, but if you are having to parry heavy each time, you can only load like one set, because as soon as that initial power drain falls off, applying another while the others are still up does nothing, you have to wait for them all to fall off before you can start again. Nothing in the description says it should work this way, but that's what I have observed. It's a shame because I like that hack as it gives some level of safety for when the AI refuses to throw specials.

Except that was the stuff literally mentioned in the description

No to the above questions. Not power drain immune, stacking multiple power drains at a time.

If it works as @Ortoun says, then the description is just flat wrong.
