Clarification on victory shields

What exactly do victory shields do in battlegrounds? I’ve never used them. I’m one win away from the shards in Diamond I and if that can secure those for me by not losing wins that is 100% worth it

It saves your medals in the match you use it on. No medals are lost if you lose the match. The shield has one time use though - win or lose it is consumed.

Lasts 1 match, if you lose, you don't lose medals, I usually only use them now if I am 2 medals from promotion, if you are 1 away and lose, you will still promote if you win the next match

Where do I apply them at? I found that I had 17 unused lol

On the screen where you select if you’re using marks or energy for the match

That’s how i do it too, except the last tier of vibranium, i used it for the last 4 medals.
