I just pulled a 6* Gladiator Hulk from my magnetron crystal, and what I’ve heard, he’s really good when there is passive damage coming his way. However does he need a buff? Why or why not? How would you change him?
His character was amazing when he came out and he countered a whole pile of annoying nodes, but he's sorely outdated in the modern game. He can still be really good in very specific match-ups but pretty low priority.

He was too unique till date, and is a beast when came out. He directly countered champs like dormammu magik mephisto and domino who were big headaches in defense that time. He is one of the best onslaught counters as well

Well Domino and Mephisto are still defensive threats nowadays without counters
He's passable when there's damage coming his way. And if there is, he can be useful. There are actually a lot more of these champions now: Opponents this helps against would include Mephisto, Terrax, Shuri, Silver Centurion, Domino, Kindred, Omega Red, Maestro Prowler and Onslaught.
At least, I certainly don't recommend using these champions to take him down on Defense, or you'll get a nasty surprise. His intermittent Unstoppable Smash! attacks are also a little awkward on defense, and can trip people up.
At most other times, Ghulk simply doesn't really work - his damage is mediocre at best; and needs a super-aggressive playstyle to keep even that up, by driving his Crowd Excitement. However, slowing down to bait out Specials means his damage drops off. There's a five-second Enervate on his SP2 which is so short that it may as well not be there.
Try him out for a bit, then see if you think my rework suggestion below would be good for him.
I'd switch out the Armour Break on SP1 with Physical Vulnerability + Pulverise (remove) a stack of armour, just to get a bit of Armour Break-like utility.
His Enervate on his SP2 needs to stay up longer and/or be extendable - 5 seconds is ridiculous and it runs out pretty much before you can even start hitting them again.
His Damage definitly needs to be cranked up as well.
One thing people often forget about him is that, while in Face Me! mode, he regenerates x% of ALL Damage taken, not just that taken from the passive DoTs.
I’ve tried him out already and from what it looks like, without Face Me, his damage is low for a rank 1 6*
Yeah his raw damage is pitiful, although IIRC his block penetration is really good. He's definitly a relic of the older game though, like Blade. Eesh, imagine if he comes to the Titan crystal as is...
As for the disagrees, you've been on the forums long enough to know people hit Disagree on all kinds of things with no real reason
However his passive dmg regen is very buggy now. I’ve had plenty of instances where I’ve had passive dmg and the face me just wasn’t activating at all, so no heal. Without that reliability, and his unique ability reliably triggering, he’s just a waste.
Older version of the games seemed to have more reliable passive dmg interaction, where the dmg was reliably being healed up, allowing you to counter passive damage much more successfully.
So to improve , kabam could
1) fix his (now) buggy passive dmg heal and face me to work for all passive dmg currrently in the game.
2) perhaps give face me a 5s passive timer, that is retriggered every second by passive dmg.
3) keep face me as it was, it works really well.
4) give him another way to activate face me by himself - dashing back and holding block activates a separate face me timer for 12s, that is refreshed by 1s for every 1% dmg that is taken off either hero. So engaging in combat keeps the face me up.
5) sp1 heal block needs to last longer or be able to be easily retriggered. For example as above, refreshed by 1s for every 1% hp that is removed or prevented from healing.
6) sp2 enervate needs to last longer or be more easily retriggered. See above. Refreshed by 1s for every 10% or 20% of a bar of power prevented or can also still be linked to hp.
So this would encourage combat and a furious fight. Either sp1 spam and heal block mode, or sp2 spam and power lock mode, or alternate and try and keep them both up.
So could try and keep up face me, heal block, power lock.
Kind of similarly to how sandman’s kit works.
7) add a decent 8s stun somewhere in his kit. He is hulk after all. Possibly sp3 makes sense. Sp3 could be stun and power lock. Could also trigger something like crowd celebration option, where the longer you don’t attack, the biggger a fury passive you get for when the stun finishes. So you could either use the stun time to beat on your opponent and have it generate zero power, or hold block to trigger crowd celebration and build a massive fury for say 30s once stun ends (a bit like shocker).

If you spent an iota of the time in-game that you do as MCOC forum journalist, you may very well be lvl 60 and Valiant by now.
