Welp rip my r3 maestro. I think she’ll be alright for serpent but not amazing. Her damage is instant dot bursts which serpent reduces so she definitely won’t nuke him.

She also has power steal to help control his power, some special spam, and good DOT. It’ll all depend on the exact numbers of course but she looks relatively good for the matchup on paper.

I was under the impression that her damage was not burst damage but in fact energy DOT that occurred during her specials, sorta like if the opponent was inflicted with an incinerate debuff while you were throwing a special. In that case, you only have to contend with Serpent’s resistance up passive.

If her energy damage regen ability triggers in other way, instead of sp3, She could Definitely be a great Serpent counter.

Let's see how she plays out, if her atrophy is atleast 60% potent, it definitely helps against serpent.

When people are talking about maestro counters they mean atrophy, of which there are 3 champions plus mojo. I'm not saying there aren't other characters that can beat him, but as counters atrophy is the way to go

When people are talking about maestro counters they mean atrophy, of which there are 3 champions plus mojo. I'm not saying there aren't other characters that can beat him, but as counters atrophy is the way to go

Atrophy is the explicit way outlined in his kit to deal with a lot of his problems. That doesn’t mean it’s the only way to counter him. You can’t act like Mojo and Kushala aren’t counters capable of running hands with Maestro just because they don’t have the specific named effect in his kit.
