Does this feel like 12.0 again?

So for those that were around at the time, does the shadow nerf to survivability, aggressive release of OP defenders and general silent treatment from Kabam to legitimate issues not sound like a repeat of 12.0? It also followed poor quarter income figures and cuts. Food for thought.

No. Idk why people keep comparing this to 12.0 when it was completely different. 12.0 was actually necessary regardless of how many people complain about it considering that 3 champs essentially owned the game and made everything trivial

I wasn’t around for 12.0 so I don’t feel like I should skew the vote. From what I’ve heard though this isn’t on the same level. It’s still fairly major, but not even close to the level of game changing like 12.0 was. If anyone deserved a nerf it was serpent and changing kingpin instead just added a hell of a lot more confusion to the situation.

12.0 was a big sh!tshow, but an absolutely necessary one for the state of the game. It’s not at all comparable to Kabam releasing a few busted defenders. 12.0 was a big deal because many of the champs people owned and invested in were directly nerfed, a significant portion of which went from metagame rulers to gutter trash. Busted defenders just shift the meta and annoy us, all the champs we owned still do the same things.

I’m also just genuinely not sure what you mean by “shadow nerf to survivability”. Is this just a rephrase of Kabam makes busted defenders? As far as I’m aware all our champs are still just as bulky as usual.

There’s such a huge difference between what happened around 12-0 and where the game is at now. It’s not even comparable

12.0 changed how the game works on a fundamental level besides the nerfs to specific characters on top of it. What your essentially crying about it's a few defenders making you have to have certain counters or playing skills. They are not even remotely the same thing.

All the people voting yes have to be people who weren’t actually around for 12.0’s release and it’s following backlash/aftermath. The only relationship these two things have is “Kabam bad”, and even then the scale isn’t the same either. You might as well suggest -2 and /2 are the same mathematical operations because they both make numbers smaller.
