Probably a visual bug cause he dropped sp3 as soon as your placebo expired, it was definitely MD.

As others said defenders that run md or power gain if something tiggers that sp3 in a split second u wont see power change and u will be hit with sp3 its annoying sice power doesnt look like it but ive been hit a few times like hype where he used sp3 wen power gain was active and it looking like 2.9 bars
