I used to get some wins with the OG King Groot back in the day when Battlegrounds was pretty new, simply because his regen was insane. If you didn't bring a nuke or someone who could handle the regen, that could really screw people over. Not necessarily in terms of them being completely unable to beat him, but it just took a lot longer than it should have.
I, in turn, got screwed over by a max-sig iDoom because he healed like crazy. Looking through his abilities now, it's "only" a 35% regen but there must have been some kind of node that extended it because he healed up to darn near full.
Things like these can happen. It gets more and more unusual as you move up in the ranks, but I'll say this - never underestimate my prodigial ability to screw up for myself wherever I am on the ladder.
