Science/Mystic crystal or Featured?

There is one single 6 star champion I am chasing at the moment: Scorpion. What is the more efficient way of going for him, science/mystic crystals or featured? On one hand, science/mystic crystals cost 2500 less shards, on the other hand, featured crystals have fewer champs in them, increasing the chance for scorpion. What’s the better choice?
