T4A Depreciation - halved value in 5 months?

I thought it would be interesting to compare the act 8.4 completion offer against the 9.1 completion offer.

For clarity, 8.4 release was April 10th this year, and 9.1 as we know was released September 11th. These two offers are very close in unit value but I think that it has to be considered that you aren't necessarily going to be a Valiant player when you hit the 8.4 offer, whereas completion of 9.1 could easily get you there. The 9.1 offer also holds more than twice the value considering it accounts for the T6CC, T6B, T3A and T5CC needed for the rankups too.
Any considerations or concerns? Personally I think it's a pretty steep decline and makes me less likely to spend, despite the fact I think we're about to see another abundance of R3's come cyber weekend and eventually the Banquet event.

This is partially why I'm asking the crowd though, I'd really like to hear from some bigger spenders but we'll see.
