The stress and struggle in order to beat the champ and then get the reward you get just simply isn’t worth it. To much to dump units and potions for. Idc what the one shots got to say cause in the end not everyone is going to play this game on the same energy or time. Food for thought. Not everything is worth it for everyone

You're absolutely right. Not everything in the game is worth it for everyone. And it will never be the case. Each event has its target player group.

This is a game and you can play at whatever pace you want. Stress is only there when you're expectations are higher than what you're willing to put in, which in this have is either time or money.

The rewards are objectively worth it. Mats for an R3 plus more for very little time and reasonably little effort is a wonderful thing to have available given how spread out story content is.
Of course, as you spend more for those rewards, it does diminish the value some. But the majority of players spending more are smaller, less diverse accounts that the content was not tailored to, which actually makes the rewards worth more because they'll do significantly more to grow the account.
Nobody is twisting anyone's arm to do all the content that drops, and not all content that drops is going to be for everyone to do. If you can't do it, or you don't want to do it, then you don't do it. You're not missing out on anything if you choose to pass.
