No need to rank down ticket you should have to be carefull what you are upgrading dont upgrade champs if you need rank down tickets.if you cant choose or decide well then in future rank down ticket will not be enough for you.be grown up guys and decide well who to upgrade
I know that Kabam doesn't want us to be able to rank down and up as we like, but what I don't understand is why. Why not let us change our roster as we like? Why not have us try out all of our champs at top ranks? They don't care about prestige, and most players still wouldn't gain much prestige from being able to change that. If I happen to earn or pull a great champ, I would LOVE to be able to rank him/her without waiting a few months (or more) to stockpile class cats or T2As again.
I would say allow us to rank down and give us the catalysts back (that we earn from playing this game way too much), but do not give us the gold or ISO needed to rank/level back up.

If you like what champ you want to upgrade then stop making wrong decision and rank up the champ you want.
I didn't make wrong decisions, thanks though. New champs are released bi-weekly, and I have a lot of champs with lower prestige or "utility" that I'd like to try to play with. The game allows us to use about 10% or less of our roster for anything outside arena or easy story modes. I'd like to be able to expland that to a higher percentage.
Why do you hate rank down tickets? Are you afraid someone may get a higher prestige than you? This is one counter-argument that I don't understand from players, who wouldn't want the freedom to use whatever champs we have when we want to?

Kabam doesn't want you to be able to rank down and up as you like because it will reduce their revenue. Bautista's challenge started when rank down tickets were still in my inventory. I ranked down Dr. Strange, ranked up Magik to 5/50, completed Bautista's challenge, then ranked down my Magik. I saved the catalysts for a future champ. This is why they'll never be a regular thing. They're too powerful because players can just shift around their roster to complete content for as cheap as possible. They also devalue resources like t4cc, which Kabam likes to offer for real money.
Kabam will never make them permanent because it reduces their income in multiple ways.
Yeah, I suppose that's correct. Have to keep the almighty dollar flowin'. I guess good ideas for the players are not always good ideas for the company...
It would make sense to step back and think just how valuable a rank down ticket is. Most people didn't use rank down tickets to test out different champs. They used them to shuffle their roster to boost their prestige. In high tiers of AQ that makes such a big difference.
The cost of a single rank down ticket would end up being high enough that most would complain they aren't affordable except for spenders. Then we'd complain that the top tier alliance just keep switching out their champs for the newer higher prestige champs.
Using rank down ticket offers for something other than "hey we changed the purpose of this champ" would likely provide more cons than pros.

That's exactly what I did - used them to boost my prestige. If I had any question marks about a champ that was nerfed, I ranked them down and held onto the catalysts. I knew what champions were coming down the pipe in arena and planned accordingly. I still had rank down tickets in my inventory when they expired. I don't want them to come back. They're way too powerful.
I think a lot of people used them hastily for the daily bonus rank up events, then they were left with a roster that didn't really make a lot of sense.
I don't think rank down tickets should be a permanent thing personally. After an update as big as 12.0 with a lot of character changes it makes sense temporarily, but ranking up a champion has always been permanent and an important decision especially when it's your next step up eg first 4/40 or 5/50 4* for example. If rank down tickets did become a permanent thing it wouldn't really matter who you decided to take up because you can always change it again later, I just think it takes away an important part of the game. Whether it's prestige, utility or just a character you like ranking up champs often takes a lot of thought for where and how you would use them and what advantages/disadvantages that has over your other options. Again, to swap freely for different situations is quite a big change to the game structure and whilst it does give more diversity to the champions that we use, we would never need to try and earn more catalysts after a certain point since ranking down a champion would just give them back again, meaning we'd essentially have an infinite number of them ready at all times. Extra catalysts would simply allow you to have more champs of the same class at a higher level rather than having to wait for your next rank up. But all in all I don't think it would be a positive thing to add rank down tickets permanently, even if they were rare items.

I hope you're joking... If not, I feel for you.
