BG freezing

I keep getting frozen in both the pre-fight screen and while drafting. The game unfreezes after a few meetings taking me to the results screen and it gives me a forfeit. I lose the match, my elders marks, and get zero points after staring and the screen for 3 minutes while my blood boils.
So much fun.
