Lets keep in mind everyone that aside from perfect ties, every match ends in exactly the same way: there's one winner and one loser. Whoever wins, whoever loses, we score exactly the same amount of realm points either way.
You cannot help the event by winning. Winning just changes which one of you contributes more points than the other. But you and your opponent always combine for the same amount of points.
You help the event by playing. The more matches you play, win or lose, the more points we score.
Yep my thoughts exactly. I'm a new paragon and usually going against a valiant forces a forfeit from me. however with this new realm event I am just playing the matches to the best of my ability, which is usually just 5% of the opponents health, and am getting points for the realm event anyway.
Don't be disheartened buddy. One lesson BG's have taught me is that Big account doesn't necessarily equate to being a good player. Don't step into every fight with the intention to end it quickly for more points, just fight the defender in front of you - I've won quite a few matches against accounts twice as big as mine. Keep practising against defenders that are tripping you up, ask for tips from your alliance, here, or global, and you'll steadily improve 😁 best of luck out there.
