Damage from absorbing man in BG? Confused

I must of gone against Abs Man 100 times in battlegrounds, mostly learning how to dodge his attacks.

Anyway, I’ve tried both Silk & Morbius in this seasons BG against him, I’ve got him down to around 30% health without taking a hit (not even a parry) and then suddenly I notice my health has been dropping and I’m dead??

I didn’t have this problem at all during the other seasons, and I can’t find anywhere in the current bg mods that cause it :/ did he get a buff or something I missed??

    He must have been in refined magma form and each hit of yours placed incinerates on you dropping your health automatically

    Edit: reread and saw you didn't parry. I agree with Graves above.
    Are you heavy punishing his specials to deactivate his forms when you're able?

    Always running heavy’s with silk as expected, with the current power gain it’s hard not to push him to special 2, sounds like it very well is the case.

    If you are baiting multiple sp1s back to back. He will gain 600 charges. And If he gets to sp2..... It's joever, unless you are using an incin immune.
