Welp I just screwed up…sorta…with SOS…

Just did the right side path only to realize the and/or on the #L and/or XL doesn’t mean you only have to have one of them….now I don’t have enough revives or units to do another run. Twas worded kind of poorly if you ask me. I was led to believe as long as I had an XL or L member on my team I was good. Oh well, looks like I won’t be getting a titan or 7 star shards bc of falling one point short on this one…

That sucks, but the wording really isn't misleading. It says "any combination of" L/XL. That's pretty straightforward.
“Any combination of L and/or XL champions” leads me to believe a combination with an XL or L champ. But oh well
Why not double confirm by asking on forums or YouTube video?
Instead of that, you wasted all your revives and units and made forum post anyway 🎉
To be fair, there is a difference between being confused by something and misunderstanding something. This was a misunderstanding and OP went in confident that they knew what they were doing. Had OP been confused and unsure beforehand, then yes, coming to the forums would've made a lot of sense.
