How can the AI start walking immediately after holding block?

Mentioned in another thread, but needs its own visibility. The “walk of death” by the defender starts immediately after they quit blocking. IMMEDIATELY. We let go of block and we have a noticeable gap of time before we can walk. How is the AI able to do this? This clearly isn’t a skip frame issue. It’s beyond the recovery concerns as well because we aren’t talking milliseconds. This is one of the most obvious and competitively unfair aspects of the current AI.

Specific examples like this are what we need. Great job codifying it clearly @Chuck_Finley

    WALK OF DEATH
You can't escape it once it starts.

You try to light attack when AI is WALKING at you? Booo, AI will parry you immediately, no joke

You try to dash back when AI is walking at you? Boo, AI will continue it's WALK OF DEATH till you're cornered.

You try to do medium dash attack when AI is WALKING at you? Booo, AI will sidestep 5 combo or light intercept into 5 combo.

The only thing you can do when this WALK OF DEATH starts is hold block and also pray 🙏 that AI throws it's heavy attack so that you can punish and interrupt this WALK OF DEATH loop.

You can't escape it once it starts.

Yup, and just watch the block damage and seconds tick away knowing you got KAiBAMMED. While chances are your BGs opponent drew the most cooperative AI ever.

In game theory there’s the concept of the dominant strategy, meaning that out of all the options available to players, there is one that consistently creates advantages and increases your likelihood of winning. Feels like the Death Walk fits that description. In the Walk, the AI has the option to stop and block, throw a light intercept, sidestep your dash and counter, throw a special intercept into your dash, etc. While our options are more limited — try a random intercept, hold block to bait heavy, etc.

Is it even possible to get an intercept (the whole point of GC) while the AI is Walking you?

No. After the AI blocks, sometimes it will immediately casually walk towards you. If you try to defend yourself, you're instantly countered by a light intercept. This happened to me against MoleMan in SoS, and is happening BGs. The issue is that the reaction happens immediately for the AI, but when we try to do the same thing, there is a delayed reaction for our attacker. This, along with other issues like AI's insane recovery speed after being knocked down, gives the AI an unfair advantage.
