I may have slightly overspent lately and just got my 7 star Sinister. I’m still new to 7,s which stat focus should I use for him?

Don’t think it really matters for him, Sinister deals his damage through degen debuffs so he doesn’t care all that much about increased crit stats or special damage. Personally I’d just stick block proficiency or one of the resistance stat focuses on him so he loses a bit less health while doing his parry heavy charge shtick.

Since the defense come from a special do they get a boost from that one?

If not, block proficiency makes sense to help with chip damage aince you’ll be parrying a lot.

No, special damage stat focuses works like a prowess in that it only increases hit damage during specials. Dots and burst are completely unaffected unless they scale with hit damage (e.g. Bishop’s sp2 incinerate) or explicitly scale with special damage (e.g. Professor X’s burst damage during sp2). Sinister’s degens aren’t affected.

No but his sp2 deals good damage if you ever wanna throw it.

But block prof is a nice shoutout, it works great with his bulwark buffs.
